Redfish Lake is one of the most iconic destinations in the Sawtooth Valley and a must-see during a stay in Stanley. Surrounded by dramatic Sawtooth peaks, the lake is a beautiful place to spend anything from a few hours to a full day.

In the warmer months, visitors can swim, kayak, canoe, paddleboard, fish, or simply relax along the shoreline. Boat and non-motorized watercraft rentals are available at Redfish Lake Lodge, and the marina also operates a boat shuttle across the lake that provides access to hiking trails on the far side.

There are also picnic and day-use areas, nearby hiking opportunities, and plenty of places to enjoy the scenery. Whether you’re looking for an active day on the water or just want to take in one of the most beautiful settings in central Idaho, Redfish Lake is well worth the short trip from Stanley.
